Louis Carey offered new one-year deal to stay at Bristol City

Louis Carey has been offered a new one-year contract to stay at Bristol City for the 2012/13 Championship season.
Many fans thought defender Carey, 35, had played his last game for the club after the 1-1 draw with Burnley, which was his 625th appearance in a City shirt.
Carey will now consider the offer to stay at Ashton Gate for another year. He is now only 20 games away from breaking John Atyeo's all-time club appearance record.
Scottish international Stephen Pearson has also been offered a new deal after impressing Derek McInnes during his first six months at Ashton Gate.
The 29-year-old initially joined on loan from Derby County, but made it a permanent move during the January transfer window.
Youngsters Joe Edwards and goalkeeper Lewis Carey have also been offered new deals to stay at Bristol City.
